Terms of Service

Last updated October 18, 2026 · CallScout is operated by NeonCell

The rules for using CallScout, written to be read. The short version: use it for genuine enquiries, be honest with the people you call, and we’ll keep your data yours.

1.The agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and NeonCell (“NeonCell”, “we”, “us”), which operates CallScout. By creating an account or using CallScout, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you use CallScout for a business, you confirm that you can accept these Terms on its behalf, and “you” includes that business.

2.What CallScout does

CallScout places phone calls on your behalf using an AI voice assistant. It asks the questions you set, can navigate phone menus and wait on hold, and records the answers, a summary and, if you choose, a transcript in your account.

We may also suggest businesses to call using public listings and reviews. Those suggestions are a convenience: you choose who is called.

3.Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, and should tell us right away through our contact form if you think it has been compromised.

4.Acceptable use

CallScout is for genuine enquiries: quotes, prices, availability and similar questions to businesses you have a real reason to contact. You agree not to use it for:

  • Telemarketing, sales solicitation, surveys for marketing, fundraising, political campaigning or debt collection.
  • Harassment, threats, pranks, spam, or repeated calls to someone who has asked not to be called.
  • Calls to emergency services, hospitals’ emergency lines, or numbers on a do-not-call list where that list applies.
  • Impersonating a real person or organisation, or instructing the assistant to hide that it is an AI.
  • Collecting sensitive personal information, or anything unlawful.

You are responsible for following the laws that apply to your calls, including the CRTC Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules and CASL in Canada, the TCPA and state laws in the United States, and equivalent rules elsewhere. We may limit, pause or refuse calls that look abusive.

5.AI disclosure

Every call opens with the assistant identifying itself as an AI assistant calling on your behalf. This cannot be switched off. If the person on the line asks not to be called again, the assistant ends the call politely.

6.Calling numbers

Paid plans can include a local calling number provided through our telephony partner. The number is licensed to you only while your plan is active, is used only for CallScout calls, and may be released if you cancel, downgrade or delete your account. Numbers cannot be transferred out.

7.Plans, minutes and billing

  • Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. You can change or cancel your plan any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Calls use minutes per started minute of connected time. Rings, busy signals and unanswered calls are free.
  • Plan minutes reset each billing period. One-time top-up minutes do not expire while your account is open.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay and may exclude applicable taxes.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we decide to issue a credit for a service problem.

8.Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into CallScout: scripts, lists of businesses and numbers, notes and images. You give us a limited licence to use that content only to run the service for you.

You confirm you have the right to use any phone numbers, names and images you upload.

9.Results are information, not advice

Answers come from the businesses you call, and are transcribed and summarised by AI. Businesses can give incomplete or changing information, and AI can mishear or misread. Confirm prices and important details directly with the business before you buy. We are not a party to any deal you make.

10.Availability and changes

We work to keep CallScout running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and calls depend on telephone networks and third-party providers outside our control. We may change or retire features; if a change materially reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

11.Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. This erases your data and cancels your subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

12.Disclaimers and liability

CallScout is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, NeonCell is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

13.Indemnity

You agree to cover NeonCell’s reasonable costs from claims caused by your misuse of CallScout or your breach of these Terms, including calls that break telemarketing or consumer protection law.

14.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

15.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use CallScout after that means you accept the new Terms.

16.Contact

CallScout is a NeonCell company, based in Ontario, Canada. Questions about these Terms? Write to us through our contact form.
